C. Before joining CSIS in 2005, he was a research analyst at the Brookings Institution. His principal areas of research include drivers of radicalization, government strategies to combat extremism, religion and identity, violent nonstate actors, and North African politics and security. Malka has testified before Congress and authored numerous book chapters and articles on a range of subjects.
