Before joining the government, he was a contributing analyst at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and a consultant for the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS). A graduate of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore and the University of York in the U.K., Sar was also a management consultant in both Singapore and Dakar, where he helped firms from across the world invest in Africa.

Nicolas Simel Ndiaye

Founder and Managing Director, L’Afrique des Idées

Nicolas Simel Ndiaye is the founder and managing director of L’Afrique des Idées, a think-tank dedicated to economic, social, and political issues related to Africa, which includes about 110 young professionals and researchers from 15 nations.

He also headed the Sciences Po for Africa Society and organized conferences with African top political leaders from different countries (Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Senegal, Burundi, etc.). In parallel, Ndiaye works as a strategy and management consultant with Kurt Salmon’s office in Paris. His previous professional experience includes Deloitte Consulting in Paris, as a SFR financial analyst in Paris, and a research fellow with the French Business Council in Morocco. Ndiaye holds a master’s degree in public affairs from Sciences Po Paris, and a master’s degree in corporate management from HEC Paris.

Qing Song

Qing Song is a program officer at Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS) where he is in charge of international exchanges and media contact.

He is also in charge of coordination of conference such as the Stockholm China Forum 2014 done in collaboration with The German Marshall Fund of the United States, the CICA summit, and the New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS launch ceremony in 2015. As a researcher, he mainly focuses on North African politics, sino-francophone relations, and global governance. He holds a double bachelor’s degree in French language studies as well as in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from Fudan University (Shanghai), and a master’s degree in international relations from Sciences Po Bordeaux.

Michael Stock

Europe Analyst, Crumpton Group LLC, Germany

Michael Stock is an international economic analyst, with a focus on Europe and Germany in particular. Prior to joining Crumpton Group, Stock was a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow, assigned to Deutsche Bank Research in Frankfurt and the German Federal Finance Ministry in Berlin.

His research at the bank resulted in two published reports, one on the European Union’s (EU) balance-of-payments facility and one on Eurozone migration trends and their subsequent effect on the real economy. In addition, Stock served as a fellow of the German Parliament. Recently, Stock contributed to the publication of the Atlantic Council’s “Through a New Prism: A Next Generation Strategy for the U.S.-German Relationship.” Stock speaks German and holds a master’s in foreign service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He holds a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Kansas and has also studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.

Adaeze Umolu

Technical Advisor, Business Resource Development, Management Sciences for Health, Nigeria

Adaeze Umolu is a member of the Management Sciences for Health Nigeria country leadership team.

Prior to this, she was an information officer at the National Institute for Legislative Studies, National Assembly Nigeria, and served as the societies and activities coordinator for the University of East London Students’ Union. Her previous roles include responsibility for communications and campaigns at the University of Leeds; as a writer with BBC World Service Trust, Nigeria; and as a British-based reporter for the Project Survival Media Group on Climate Change. Umolu has a degree in theatre arts from the University of Lagos and a master’s in gender management and organisation from the University of Leeds. She is a pioneer alumna of LEAP Africa.

Sabri Youcefi

Sabri Youcefi joined Meridiam Infrastructure in 2013. Meridiam is a global developer, investor, and asset manager specializing in public and community infrastructure delivered through public-private partnerships.

As a member of the Corporate Development Team, Youcefi is actively involved in various key activities such as the fundraising process for Meridiam’s first Africa-focused fund. He has also spearheaded the creation and the development of the Meridiam Foundation, whose main objective is to foster and nurture young and talented individuals. Youcefi holds a master’s degree in corporate finance from Paris Dauphine University.

Mbuih Zukane

Teacher, University of Dschang and CEO ICAD, Cameroon

Mbuih Zukane has 11 years of experience, working as a senior youth worker and an international cooperation expert. He lectures youth leadership as a transversal course in the University of Dschang-Cameroon.

He is also a co-founder of the African Network of Youth Policy Experts. Zukane is also the founder and CEO of a youth-led organization dubbed InterCultural Alliance for Development. He has diplomas from UNDP, UNICEF, UNWomen, and POTI, USA. His numerous professional publications focus on his research and clinical interests in youth development and international cooperation.
