From 2005 to 2012, he worked at the Central Bank of Morocco as Director of Economics and International Relations. Prior to this, he served as economist at the World Bank.

He holds scientific and advisory positions in various institutions, including the Malabo-Montpellier Panel, the International Forum on Innovation for Agri-Food Systems, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, and the French Institute of International Relations. He is also counselor to the CEO and Chairman of the OCP Group and serves as global member of the Trilateral Commission and board member of the OCP Foundation. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bordeaux.
