Network Meeting n°1: Jean Monnet Atlantic Network on Atlantic Studies

The Policy Center for the New south has partnered as a core member with Jean Monnet Atlantic Network on Atlantic Studies for the period 2020-2022. In this framework a series of discussions around a number of research papers will tackle the following three themes:

  • US-China Tech War: future developments and impacts for the Atlantic Community
  • Covid-19 legacy on trade vulnerabilities and GVCs
  • Mercosur-EU Trade Agreement and African Continental Free Trade Area
  • Impacts of the Chinese digital currency

 

 

  • Energy and Sustainability in the Atlantic Basin
  • Covid-19 impacts on energy production & security
  • A new impetus to sustainability and climate ventures?
  • Energy transition; wind, solar, different carbon taxes
  • New ‘green winds’ coming from US?

 

 

  • Covid-19 and its Multilayer Impacts on the Society
  • The raise in inequality and related tensions
  • Impacts of health and economic crises on Atlantic regimes; security issues
