The Mediterranean Strategy Group (MSG), an event organized in a partnership between OCP Policy Center and the German Marshall Fund (GMF), is the leading transatlantic dialogue on Mediterranean affairs. The forum brings together around 40 experts and officials from the public and private sectors from both sides of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean will meet for two days of informal roundtable style discussion under the Chatham House rule.

 In September 2018, The Shaikh Group has launched its Track II initiative "The Shaikh Group: Middle East Strategic Dialogue". Supported by the Institut Montaigne in Paris, the OCP Policy Center in Rabat, as well as the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this project’s novel contribution consists in taking an “outside-in” approach to regional dialogue, by facilitating a series of consultations initially among former officials and senior experts from international powers - the United States, Russia, China, India and Europe - who are subsequently joined by regional actors.

Globalization has been subject to backlash and criticism in many parts of the world, as is illustrated by the increased support for protectionism. 
One side argues that it has lifted millions out of poverty, while others blame it for job loss and wage stagnation. While global competition has been increasing global welfare, the question arises on whether it is fair geographically and across income levels.
