Maundy A.L. Lewis

Communications Officer, Government of Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia

Maundy Lewis is a communications officer with the government of Saint Lucia. Previously, she was an assistant project coordinator with the Saint Lucia Development Fund, working on the Special Framework of Assistance project funded by the European Union.

Lewis is also a long-time volunteer with the Saint Lucia Development Fund, where she has spent multiple summers working with under-represented populations and those living in poverty. She is heavily involved in a number of national and regional development organizations, and was recently appointed to the UNFPA/OECS and Barbados Youth Advisory Group. Lewis serves on the boards of the National Conservation Authority and the National Community Foundation. She is currently pursuing a law degree.

Dina Abdel-Fattah

Associate, Development Gateway, USA

Dina Abdel-Fattah is an associate with Development Gateway, where she is responsible for managing, implementing, and coordinating multiple projects, with an emphasis on incorporating geospatial tools for information management.

In this role, she manages the Asian Development Bank’s geocoding efforts, as well as the Aid Management Platform (AMP) in Haiti, where she oversees the coordination of activities related to Haiti’s aid information system and processes. She has an extensive background in international development and energy, and her areas of expertise include web-based development platforms, Internet-based technologies, and geographic information systems. Previously, Abdel-Fattah was a USAID Aid Management Fellow based in the Nepalese Ministry of Finance, where she supported the comprehensive coding of Nepal’s AMP. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the College of William and Mary, and a master’s degree in international development studies from the University of Amsterdam.

Nitika Agarwal

Senior Policy Advisor, Her Majesty’s Treasury, United Kingdom

Nitika Agarwal is a senior policy advisor to the government of the United Kingdom, where she represents the U.K. in negotiations with other European Union member states on financial services, and coordinates the HMT’s policy on international economic issues.

Her career to date has focused on developing and delivering the British government’s international and EU policy, and she has served as chief of staff to the U.K. ambassador to the EU in Brussels. Prior to joining the British government, Agarwal campaigned for the rights of religious riot victims in Gujarat, India, and supported victims of human trafficking in Paris. She holds a degree in politics, philosophy, and economics from Queens College, Oxford University.

Taha Amiar

Sustainability Analyst and Co-Founder, Massolia.com, Morocco

Taha Amiar is a sustainability analyst and the co-founder of Massolia.com, an initiative to foster North Africa’s commitment to renewable energy, waste management, water, and corporate social responsibility.

In this role with Massolia, which means “responsibility” in Arabic, Amiar provides information, and promotes potential solutions to assist the Moroccan business community in adopting green technologies. He has extensive experience with public relations, business promotion, and corporate banking. Amiar holds a master’s degree in finance from the Toulouse Business School. He speaks six languages and has attended multiple international conferences and training courses in Europe, East Asia, and the United States.

Francis Anyaegbu

Founder and CEO, Farm Allure, Nigeria

Francis Anyaegbu is the founder and CEO of Farm Allure, a Nigerian agricultural start-up company, and the African regional representative to the UN-HABITAT’s Youth Advisory Board. He is a seasoned youth development trainer and development consultant who has worked in multiple capacities for a host of international organizations.

Previously, Anyaegbu worked as a team leader on the National Citizen Service, a civil society-focused initiative funded by the government of the United Kingdom. He has an academic background in environmental biology, and he holds several international certifications related to development work. He is an associate fellow with the Nigeria Leadership Initiative, a 2012 Crans Montana Forum New Leader of Tomorrow, and the recipient of a 2009 Nigerian Youth Leadership Award.

José Antonio Batista de Moura Ziebarth is an experienced professional with expertise in regulation, competition policy, infrastructure, M&A, and project finance.

He has been a university lecturer and a senior advisor at the Brazilian Competition Authority, where he also led the agency’s internship program. He holds a master’s degree in competition, innovation, and information law from New York University, a master’s of law degree from Universidade de São Paulo, and a master’s degree in business economics from the Getulio Vargas Foundation São Paulo School of Economics. He is a recipient of the Vanderbilt Medal and the President’s Service Award, and has published research on regulatory issues, competition law, policy coordination, and Latin American development strategy.

Lamia Bazir

Lamia Bazir is the founder of Empowering Wo-men in the Atlas, a non-profit organization focused on community development and women’s empowerment.

Currently, she works for the head of the government of Morocco on the second compact of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and sits on the board of directors for the High Atlas Foundation. Her professional experience includes working as an analyst for the Arab League, as a consultant for Transparency International, and as a field researcher in Niger. She is the recipient of several awards and has delivered speeches at the UN Youth Assembly, Al Akhawayn University, and Stanford University. Bazir has been an American Association of University Women fellow and served as a representative to the UN. She holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University, and a master’s degree in international development from Sciences Po in Paris.

Zineb Benjelloun

Head of Water and Utilities, OCP Group, Morocco

Zineb Benjelloun is currently the head of the water and utilities section in industrial development at OCP Group in Casablanca, Morocco.

In this role, she has worked on multiple industrial development projects, including serving as the project manager for the construction of an 80 km (49 mi) long water pipeline, and as project engineer of a ports expansion project. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from École Mohammadia d’ingénieurs, Université Mohammed V, is a graduate of the OCP Executive Development Program delivered by HEC Paris, and has been certified by the Project Management Institute as a project management professional. She was recently appointed vice president of OCP’s managers association, L’Alliance des Hors Cadres OCP.

Ali Bensouda

Ali Bensouda recently became partner for strategy at Advanced Consulting in Morocco, prior to which he was manager of strategy and internal consulting at the OCP Group.

Prior to joining OCP, he worked in a managerial capacity for multiple consulting firms, where he led transformation and development projects for various clients. Bensouda has a professional background in finance and construction, and he has worked on various infrastructure and transportation projects throughout Morocco.

Based in New York City, Berger previously lived in Rio de Janeiro, where he worked at the U.S. Department of State as a political and economic affairs assistant, and at the Fundação Getulio Vargas as a visiting researcher. Prior to his time in Brazil, he was a policy associate at Americas Society and Council of the Americas (AS/COA) in New York, and an editor atAmericas Quarterly, AS/COA’s policy journal. Since beginning his program at Columbia, he has worked as a consultant for both the Economist Intelligence Unit in New York and McLarty Associates in Washington, DC.
