Max Bouchet is a researcher with the Metropolitan Policy Program and the Global Economy & Development Program of the Brookings Institution in Washington.
Max researches regional inequality, the global competitiveness of city-regions, and the role of cities in global governance. He also stewards the SDG Leadership Cities network to help local leaders implement the UN 2030 Agenda. In this capacity, he regularly engages with local leaders from the Global North and South. Over 2018-19, Max combined his analysis on global cities with a Robert Bosch Foundation fellowship (Global Governance Futures 2030). He graduated from the Sciences Po Paris with a BA in Political Science and a Master of Public Affairs.
